C5-C9 fatty acid blend

It is a blend mainly of linear monocarboxylic acids of different chain lengths (between C5 and C9) and appears as a viscous liquid.

There are two grades of the product: IL001M, for industrial use, and FL002M, for application in the feed industry, certified as GMP+.

The industrial grade is applied for the formulation of esters, in paints, inks and detergency.

The C5-C5 carboxylic acid blend was approved by Regulation (EU) 68/2013 as a raw material for animal feed, favoured by EU restrictions on the use of antibiotics in animal feed.

The broad spectrum of antimicrobial action reduces the count of both Gram-negative and Gram-positive bacteria and, due to efficient energy utilisation in intermediate metabolism and increased digestibility, there is also a positive effect on animal growth promotion.

In order to assure the entire food chain of its ongoing commitment to quality and safety, Matrìca has also obtained GMP+ (Good Manufacturing Practices) certification, a highly recognisable international standard developed specifically for animal feed companies.
